I was so excited to meet baby Cedrik. I photographed his beautiful family when he was still cozy inside mommy’s belly not long before he made his arrival (see a blog post about their maternity session here).
I got the pleasure to photograph him when he was only 3 and a half days new, which makes him my youngest client so far. Usually newborn photos are taken between 7 and 14 days after birth, but daddy had to go away for work so we took advantage of this time to photograph the lovely family as a whole before he left.
Cedrik was very calm and cute as a button, photographing him was a breeze.
We even got to try on a new outfit on him, he looked like a little elf wrapped up nice and cozy. Boy, does he look handsome in green.
We photographed the family in the same lifestyle set up as we had during their maternity shoot, about a month prior. And once again, they turned out perfect.
We even got a glimpse of baby Cedrik’s beautiful eyes in some of the photos. He kept looking right into the camera. He was a real natural.
This is why I love what I do, and where I get my inspiration. I get to meet and photograph these beautiful, glowing mothers during their maternity shoots and then I get to witness and capture their interactions with their newborn babies in the early stages of motherhood. How lucky am I?
